LinkedIn – UI/Front-end Engineer Intern Mountain View, CA 05/2019 – 08/2019

  • Worked at LinkedIn Profile Team by focusing on web development, including desktop web and mobile web
  • Responsible for the project of Open To Candidates on mobile web, including development, bug bash, ramp-up
  • Implemented and polishing Skill Assessment Image Handling feature on both mobile web and desktop web
  • Fixed bugs of LinkedIn Profile page and contributed to the documentation of LinkedIn web development

Douban (China IMDb) – SDE(Front-end) Intern Beijing, CN 05/2018 – 08/2018

  • Tracked Douban Rentals(Zillow Rentals) and responsible for its background CMS(Content Management System)
  • Designed and implemented new features of the CMS by React-redux, Saga, JavaScript, Webpack, Babel, etc.
  • Developed responsive webpages for different events via HTML5, CSS3, Sass, fullPage.js, Swiper, Flex, etc.

Projects

Travel & Entertainment Search (Yelp) 02/2018 – 05/2018

  • Developed a service that allows users to search places, browse place details, plan routes and set them as favorites
  • Implemented back-end APIs via Node.js, Express.js and deployed it on AWS by setting Nginx as reverse proxy
  • Implemented the front-end by Boostrap4 and AngularJS for the Web Application, as well as by Volley, Gson and Picasso for the Android App

    Tiny URL Service 10/2017 – 12/2017

  • Developed a full-stack web application by MEAN Stack that generates short URL and the statistics data of it
  • Adopted Bootstrap to display the statistics data, including usage, the platform and country of the users, etc.
  • Enhanced independence by building and fetching Docker images, and deploying Docker containers
  • Employed Redis as cache and Nginx as reverse proxy to improve QPS obviously

Project Easy System 02/2017 – 05/2017

  • Designed and developed a project management system for efficient collaboration between different departments in manufacturing companies by posting latest progress of a switch process project
  • Analyzed the switch problem, built object diagrams, sequence diagrams and component diagrams via UML
  • Developed by Java and saved approximately 21% of previous spent time for a switch project on the average
